I'm totally psyched. New Ipods are out. One of the more rockin features is now the video support. I really realy want one now. although I want a new xm radio... decisions are tough.
I just got my Ipod photo the other day, and now they've come out with this new one. Bla! Maybe I can return this one and do an exchange, but that would mean reloading and resorting all my music. Bla
i might concider getting an ipod. after all it would be nice to listen to music on the move!
IPODS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! itoons is the suck, they are very easily damaged and just very locked to there format
have a look at the iriver line or the rio products both carbon, 6 gigs and karma 20 gigs, amazing design and most flexible products
You might find my question stubit but what is an ipod? Sorry i don't know.
heh, screw apple, or wait a month then screw them. lets see last month it was the nanno then the month before that it was the shuffle. there marketing aint that good now is it?
An IPod is a portable audio player witch allows you to carry massive amounts of music with you and is either harddrive or flash memory based. As far as my comments on this go specifically, I still have yet to buy an IPod. I have an mp3 player with plays CD's, and that's fine by me. If they're now including video support, I hope they plan on releasing a model with a larger harddrive. This also opens the door to a lot of other technology. I wonder if one day it'll be possible to watch satellite TV via your IPod?
First off, iTunes sucks, but you don't have to use it, and if you know how to transcode and stuff, you can buy music from any other program. Also, Ipod's built well, and has the most accessories available for any player.
I think this new Ipod is great! I'd personally love to own one, but hay, I live In Northampton Housing Authority's apartments, that I believe speaks for it self! :)
are they blind friendly? I keep hearing that the Ipods are really hard to navigate for blind ppl.
well the majority of them have a selection wheel, the shuffle is the only one that doesn't, but not sure about this new one, I agree with the fuck apple comments. I am quite happy with my xen right now. I prefer to buy the unit, and not the name.
They can be accessible if you make them so.
I think I'd opt for an i-river over an IPod. But I'd buy an XM radio over either any day if I had to choose between the two. I'll take live content, especially the wide veriety offered by xm over recorded stuff pretty much anytime.
Or you could have an Ipod and an XM. The Irivers that are out now aren't quite even as accessible as the Pod.
are the accessible? depends how ou define accessible. They do not spak out of the box, nor will they probably ever. they have a click wheel that can be useful. I love my IPod and use it all the time. I don't believe apple sucks. I like their Ipods, and I don't necisarily like Itunes, I think voice over makes up for it.
it will all be integrated into your cell phones soon enough you wait.
Yeah you can put speech on them.
When i get one, i would most lightly just use it for file storage, like have 45 gig for storage, and have the rest for music.
BEN.
but if you store files in the Ipod shuffle, can you read them when pressing the buttons ho much does the Annapod software cost? any comments!! feel free!!

Well if all you care about is playing MP3 and AAC files with/without DRM, then you have to go with the Pod. If, however, you care about more important things like FLAC support or replay gain, then any true audiophile wouldn't waste their money on the Apple brand name.
